DevOpsArk + Slack
Incidents, approvals and ArkChat where you work
Vendor: Salesforce
What does the DevOpsArk Slack integration do?
The DevOpsArk Slack integration delivers correlated incidents, deployment approvals and ArkChat answers into Slack channels, so operational work happens where the team already is.
What the Slack integration provides
- Deliver correlated incidents (not individual alerts) to the owning team channel.
- Approve or reject deployments, releases and agent plans from a thread.
- Ask ArkChat about your infrastructure without leaving Slack.
- Open an incident channel automatically with context already posted.
- Post release notes and deployment outcomes to a channel.
Exactly what is read, and what can be written
Read and write are separate grants. Nothing in the write column happens unless you explicitly allow it.
- Channel membership for routing
- Message interactions on DevOpsArk messages
- Incident, alert and deployment messages
- Approval prompts and their outcomes
- ArkChat replies

Slack integration: frequently asked questions
It should not be. DevOpsArk correlates related signals into one incident before anything is sent and suppresses expected disturbance during maintenance and rollouts, so channel volume is generally much lower than a raw alert feed.
Yes. Approval prompts appear in the channel and the decision is recorded against the release with the approving identity, exactly as if it had been made in the console.
Yes, and it answers within the asking user own permissions, so a Slack channel does not become a way to see data someone is not entitled to.
Yes, with equivalent incident routing, approvals and ArkChat access.
